Flap over UCC ad can teach lesson about differences among churches

[Portland Press Herald] December 13, 2004--"Rev. David Runnion-Bareford, himself a UCC minister and executive director of the Biblical Witness Fellowship, made that point in a press release: 'The commercial . . . sends an arrogant and negative message that the UCC stands apart from the rest of the Christian church, who are portrayed as rejecting people based on how they look.'"
