[The Press and Journal] 15 Jul 2008--The world’s first openly gay Anglican bishop attended the UK launch of a film on homosexuality in the Christian world yesterday as controversy around his visit continued.

The Rt Rev Gene Robinson attended the UK premiere of For The Bible Tells Me So ahead of the start of a high-profile meeting of bishops later this week.

The Bishop of New Hampshire has been barred from attending the Lambeth Conference in Canterbury, as the Anglican Communion continues to fracture over the ordination of women and homosexuals.

Despite the snub, Mr Robinson will go to the city he said, if only to address fringe meetings.
