[The Lewiston Tribune] March 2, 2005--What appears to be a rebuke to the Episcopal Church USA over its position on homosexual clergy and same-sex unions is really a chance to grow, says the bishop of Spokane.

The Bishop of Spokane spins the Primates' Communique'. Note how he adheres to the revisionist party line:

[1] "But we do have people who disagree and we have some people who have made decisions not to continue in the Episcopal church. I'm thankful that the numbers are not large, but we regret losing anybody."

[2] Waggoner says it appears about 70 percent of Episcopalians are in the "diverse middle. ... While they may lean one way or the other, their primary interest and their real energy is with getting on with God's mission to proclaim the gospel."

[3] "My prayer is that we will continue to be listening to each other ... and where the spirit is leading."
