[Boston.com] April 2, 2005--Less than a year ago, Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson was the wedge that split the Church of the Redeemer. On Saturday, he presided over its final service, accepting gifts and praising parishioners for their faith and service to the church.

Redeeemer may have been declining but Robinson is responsible for its demise along with the New Hampshire Diocesan Convention that elected him, the 2003 General Convention that confirmed him, and Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold and the other bishops who consecrated him.
