[The Church of England Newspaper] May 5, 2005--The end of an exhausting and arid election campaign prompts many questions about the kind of society we now inhabit and are constructing for ourselves and our children, indeed also for our elderly. While politicians promised all manner of ‘outcomes’ for voters who would support their party, few if any concerned themselves with the inner fibre of our culture, that moral motivation which alone can ultimately provide healthy conditions of life.
