[Baptist Press News] June 17, 2005--Seven months after suffering a surprising defeat at the ballot, former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle was given a leadership award June 13 by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force for his role in defeating the Federal Marriage Amendment.
