[VirtueOnline] October 4, 2005--In a move that was as swift as it was devastating for John Howard Bishop of Florida, the 46-year old orthodox rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Tallahassee, Florida announced that he was leaving his parish of 10 years, ending his 20 year sojourn in the Episcopal Church and was taking some 1,200 to 1,500 parishioners and launching a new orthodox parish - St. Peter's - and coming under an overseas orthodox Anglican Archbishop.
