[AnglicanMainstream] December 1, 2005--Recall the atmosphere at the Oval, or in Trafalgar Square, when England won the Ashes in September. The same atmosphere pervaded an area the size of a couple of football pitches as 7000 people filled the grounds of an unfinished cathedral to sing and dance to drums and trumpets on Sunday November 27. During a 5 hour ceremony followed by lunch for everyone Archbishop Henry Orombi consecrated Joel Obetia (48) as Bishop of the Diocese of Madi / West Nile and Prebendary Sandy Millar (65) as Bishop of the Church of Uganda to serve as Assistant Bishop for Mission in the Diocese of London.
