[The Birmingham News] December 9, 2005--When he served as the dean of the Cathedral Church of the Advent, the Rev. Paul Zahl led a Sunday school class that sometimes seemed like a tour through Christian history.

Now anyone can take that tour, although Zahl left Alabama to serve as president of Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pa.

Zahl has written a new book called "Christianity Primer: 2000 Years of Amazing Grace," a history and overview of the faith. He will be in Birmingham to sign copies on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Episcopal Book Store, adjacent to the Advent Cathedral downtown.
