[Stand Firm] 18 Sep 2008--Judging from past non-actions at the last House of Bishops meeting, and the one before that, and the one before that, and then the New Orleans House of Bishops meeting, when some had the audacity to blame the early-departing four Common Cause Bishops for their "not being able to do anything," it seems highly likely that our "Windsor Bishops," or "Camp Allen Bishops," or "Communion Partners Bishops" will, at the various crucial points of the meeting, all need to go get a drink from the water fountain, or get a little air outside, or take an important call that takes them away. . . . But let us not speak of the past. It is always possible for a bishop or two to be visited by God in the night watches, be infused with a dose of courage and cleverness, consult prior to the gathering, and actually say or do something important at the House of Bishops meeting. But what could a bishop do that would publicly point out his differences with the Presiding Bishop and her followers? In other words, what would it take to be labelled "divisive".
