Upper Orara’s picturesque and historic All Saints Anglican Church will have its fate decided at a meeting to be held in Nana Glen next month.
The agenda for a special meeting to be held at the Nana Glen Anglican Church at 11am on May 8 is to “review and resolve the matter in regard to the future of the Upper Orara Anglican Church building and land”.
The meeting has been called by the incumbent deacon in charge of the Orara Valley, the Rev Sharon Painter.
All Saints Upper Orara celebrated its centenary last year, but has not been the venue for regular church services since 2006.
But there is no longer a viable local congregation and the insurance and upkeep of the church is costly.
