Historical chapel building with colorful past moves south to new home


One of the oldest buildings in Palm Beach County, one whose history stretches to Henry Flagler's old Royal Poinciana Hotel in Palm Beach, completed a nearly 7-mile journey between local Anglican churches this morning.

The Minerva Chapel, which was built in the early 1890s, traveled by tractor between Church of the Holy Spirit in Palm Springs and the Church of the Holy Guardian Angels in Lantana.

It had been used for the past 23 years by Holy Spirit and now will serve both congregations, which recently merged. To read more, click here.
