As I observed in an earlier comment, religious pluralism and religious tolerance are not a part of the Muslim worldview. Conservative Muslim groups claim that the Christian use of the word "Allah" for God will lead Muslims astray. As has been pointed out in previous articles on this issue, Malaysian Christians have a long history of using the word "Allah" for God as it is a part of the language. Malaysian Christians could quite rightly argue that the use of a common word for God with Muslims could lead Christians astray. The real motive behind the claim of conservative Muslim groups is the desire to make trouble for Christians and to discourage the practice of the Christian faith in Malaysia.
