To Slow Global Warming, U.N. Warns Agriculture Must Change

If we truly love our neighbors, we should also be concerned about how food production and other human activities are affecting the climate and the quality of life of human beings around the planet. Getting involved with community groups and organizations concerned about climate change is one way of building bridges to the community. It will help members of the community who are concerned about climate change see the local church in a different light. Sharing the concerns of young people related to climate change is also an effective way of reaching them. The Baptist Campus Ministry here at Murray State University discovered this when it opened its doors to a student group concerned about the environment. Adopting a largely plant-based diet and eating less meat is also healthier way of living and one of the ways we can take better care of our bodies.
