[The Hamilton Spectator] 10 May 2008--Members of two Anglican churches are choosing not to worship in their buildings tomorrow in the wake of a court order that they share the facilities with the diocese they have left.
A Superior Court ruling on Monday required three breakaway churches to share the property Sunday mornings until ownership is decided -- a process that could take up to 10 years in trial. The churches voted to join the Anglican Network in Canada just over two months ago, claiming the Anglican Church of Canada was growing too liberal in its interpretation of scripture.
St. George's in Lowville will meet tomorrow at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington, where they expect to stay for several months. The church will be seeking a space to meet in Milton over the next few months.
St. Hilda's will meet tomorrow at Oakville Christian School and hopes to use it on following Sundays.
