It's Better to Be Safe than Sorry This Thanksgiving

Is a Thanksgiving family gathering really worth the risk of COVID-19? Alexa Aragonez does not think so. 15 members of her family tested positive for the virus after the family got together to celebrate a family member’s birthday. Ms. Aragonez’s mother was hospitalized due to the seriousness of her symptoms. Three family members who tested positive did not attend the celebration. They were infected by family members who did.

We are not living in normal times. We may have grown tired of the pandemic but COVID-19 has not grown tired of us. Whenever we mix with people outside our own immediate household, we create opportunities for the virus to spread. People will get sick and even die. This is the world in which we are now living. This is the reality that we must now face.

Below you will find links to a number of articles about COVID-19 and Thanksgiving. Please take time to read them. I selected them because they contain useful information, information that you may be able to use to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community.
