All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
As well as urging the members of the church at Philippi to take delight in God, Paul encourage them to acquire a reputation for gentleness. In his words we hear echoes of Jesus’ own—his iteration of the Great Commandment—to love God and to love others.
The Scripture reading for this Saturday evening is Philippians 4: 4-7 Be Joyful in the Lord.
