Jesus will return someday. He did not command us to spend our time trying to figure when that would be. Nor did he command to try to precipitate the events that would lead to his return. But he did give us some very clear instructions regarding what we should be doing while awaiting his return.
The Scripture reading for this Sunday is 2 Peter 3:1-10 God delays the last day, in his mercy.
