All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
Our personal spiritual growth impacts the spiritual growth of the local church of which we are a part. If we are not growing spiritually, we can impede the spiritual growth of our fellow Christians. If we are growing spiritually, we can help them to grow spiritually. This may come as a surprise to Christians who value self-reliance and not depending upon others. Like other living organisms, the spiritual health of a local church is tied to the spiritual health of the Christians forming the local church. The healthier they become spiritually, the healthier the local church becomes spiritually.
The Scripture reading for this Saturday is Ephesians 4: 17-32 Have no more to do with the old life! Learn the new.
