[abc.net.au] 9 Feb 2008--ELIZABETH JACKSON: The head of the world's Anglican Church is refusing to respond to a barrage of criticism after he talked about the "inevitable" role that Muslim Sharia law will one day play in British law.
But some of his own bishops say they don't see how that could work, and there are reports today that members of the Anglican Synod want Rowan Williams to resign. But many of these Sharia law experts say Dr Williams has proposed nothing beyond what already exists.
