The culture of surrender

[Canada Free Press] 14 Feb 2008--In case you’re wondering why Islam is the fastest growing religion in most western countries, it’s because our own religious leaders aren’t particularly interested in the preservation of our religious heritage.

A case in point is the stunning suggestion by Dr. Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury and head of the Church of England, that certain elements of shariah law should be recognized under British law in order to establish a principle of “plural jurisdictions”.

It’s a small wonder that Dr. Williams is presiding over a church that finds itself in steep decline. Many Christian religious leaders are prepared to sacrifice the survival of their own religions in efforts to appear “inclusive” and “accepting” of those of other faiths. Thus, the call to recognize certain elements of shariah law in the west.
