[Reuters] 14 Feb 2008--Uganda's Anglican bishops will boycott a major church summit this year because a rift over gay clergy and same-sex unions remains unresolved, Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi said on Thursday.
The consecration of openly gay U.S. Bishop Gene Robinson in 2003 has split the 400-year-old church -- setting a liberal minority against a conservative majority, mostly from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
