The Roman Catholic Church may have adopted liturgical material from The 1662 Book of Common Prayer but it has not adopted the Protestant Reformed theology of the classic Anglican Prayer Book. Indeed Archbishop Cranmer would be appalled by the use to which the texts that he crafted are being put.
