Meeting Your Ministry Budget Over the Summer


Pastor, let me ask you a very important question: What is your strategy to meet your Ministry Budget this summer? Do you want to meet it? Do you expect to meet it?

I want to share with you an idea we have practiced for years. With the exception of two years during the last twenty or so, we have been able to meet our Ministry Budget goal during the summer. This simple strategy can be used in any size church and result in success. Keep reading
A number of churches experience the doldrums during the summer. Several factors account for this state of inactivity and low attendance in the summer. One factor that does not receive attention which is deserves is that many long-time churchgoers believe that they are entitled to take a break from attending church during the summer even though they have no plans to go out of town. Newcomers can quickly pick up this attitude from them. Consequently, pastors and lay preachers in their preaching need to stress the importance of year-round church attendance. Regular attenders and church members going on vacation should be encouraged to attend church services while on vacation.
