The Anglican Way: Evangelical and Catholic (Morehouse-Barlow: 1983) was my introduction to the writings of the late Peter Toon. I read it in the mid-1980s, not long after its publication. The Anglican Way, as Peter understood it, embodied “a simultaneous commitment to the Gospel and Catholicity.” This is what he believed was God’s call to the Anglican Church.
For those who are interested in reading Peter Toon’s books and other writings, I have posted a link to the Toon collection on the New Scriptorium website. His article, "The Reform of the English Church," was published in Tabletalk Magazine and may be found on the Ligonier Ministries website. A number of his articles may be found on the Church Society website. A number of his articles from 2000 to 2009, the year in which he died, may be also found on the old Prayer Book Society USA: News blog which is still on the Internet. I have also posted link to these websites .
For readers who are not familiar with Peter Toon, I have posted a link to a Wikipedia article on Dr. Toon and links to the Church Times and Virtue Online obituaries for Dr. Toon.
