Why Are (Some) Anglicans Afraid of the Reformation? [Audio]

The full title of this lecture is "An Historical Approach to Anglican Identity, Or, Why Are We Afraid of the Reformation?” Dr. Harp is a professor of History at Grove City College, Grove City, Pennsylvania. In his lecture he touches upon a number of myths associated with Anglican identity and how recent scholarship has debunked these myths. Dr. Harp is author of Protestants and American Conservatism: A Short History (Oxford, scheduled for release this June) and Brahmin Prophet: Phillips Brooks and the Path of Liberal Protestantism (Rowman & Littlefield, 2003). He has written a number of articles, including "Recovering Confessional Anglicanism,"Navigating the 'Three Streams' Some Second Thoughts about a Popular Typology," and "Revisiting the Three Streams."
