On Sunday we began the third week of the Advent Season, a season in which we remember the true meaning of Christmas and prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and Lord. We are also reminded that Jesus who first came to us as a tiny babe, born in humble circumstances, will one day come again as a King and a Judge in the fullness of his glory. It is a time of the year to give serious thought not only to why we call Jesus Saviour but also to why we call him Lord.
The order of service for Wednesday evening is taken from the Anglican Church of Canada’s The Book of Alternative Services (1985) and was chosen for its brevity, simplicity, and adaptability to online use.
