All Hallows Evening Prayer for Saturday Evening (February 6, 2021) Is Now Online

During the week time appears to move slowly. But by the weekend the week appears to have passed in a blink of an eye. Once more we find ourselves on the eve of our weekly celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and of the promise of new life his rising from the dead offers us. New life that begins in the here and now and continues beyond our death. As the Gospel of John tells us, eternal life is to know Jesus and God who sent him.

What better way to begin our weekly celebration of our Lord’s resurrection than with a service of Evening Prayer.

The Scripture reading for this Saturday evening is John 15: 18-25 The World’s Hatred

The homily is titled, “Vehicles of God’s Grace.”

The second psalm is Marty Haugen’s paraphrase of Psalm 23, “Shelter Me, O God,” available from GIA Publications.

The dismissal song is Tony Alonso’s hymn, “God Sends Us Forth to Love and Serve,” also available from GIA Publications.
