[Resurrection Church Chicago] 12 Apr 2007--Our members voted March 17-25, 2007. 100% of those who voted, chose to go and establish a new Anglican church. No one voted to remain in the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Chicago. We leave sadly, but knowing that it is the right thing for us to do. We will seek new oversight within the Communion, but have yet to make a decision as to where that oversight will be.
Based upon research done by C. Kirk Hadaway, almost as many Episcopalians have left the Episcopal Church as there are active members of the denomination.
