All Hallows Evening Prayer for Sunday Evening (July 4, 2021) Is Now Online

All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.

Jesus attracted crowds wherever he went except in one place—his hometown of Nazareth. To the people of Nazareth Jesus was a carpenter, the son of a carpenter. To their way of thinking he was nothing else. We too often look at people the same way as the people of Jesus’ hometown looked at him. But that is not the way God sees them nor is it the way God would have us see them.

The reading appointed for this Sunday evening’ service is Mark 6: 1-13 The Rejection of Jesus at Nazareth

The homily is titled, “People Are Not Pigeons.”
