All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
How many of us can honestly say that we have a vibrant prayer life? We regularly spend time with the Lord? We don’t have to squeeze in a prayer here and there. I am not talking about praying the Daily Offices or the Liturgy of the Hours. I am talking about spending a time of sharing our inner most thoughts and feelings with God—our hopes, our dreams, our concerns, and our fears, having what Colin Moore, the children’s ministry director at Murray First United Methodist Church describes as a “honest talk with God.”
The Scripture reading for this Saturday is 1 Timothy 2: 1-7 Instructions about Worship.
The homily is titled “Prayer”
